Winter Solstice

Now is come the winter solstice
featuring the conjunction of
Jupiter and Saturn
for the first time in 800 years
 
NASA scientists assure me that this
is a coincidence, I want to believe but
everything is scrambled
it might be more than chance
it might be a sign in the medieval
sense, where eyes and ears existed
long before telescopes and
solar system predictions
 
I predict winter will arrive
has arrived
is already upon me
you see, my hand shakes
holding this cup of water
