The model mistakes the chair in the painting 

for the chair she was sitting in before the break. 

Both chairs are empty.

Why isn’t she sitting in the painted chair?

Should she sit again in the painter’s chair?

Or should she leave the painter painting 

his portrait of an empty chair?
