Taking Down the Screens

The immediate effect:

more light streaming 

through the windows.  

Even the cats lift 

their eyes.

Even the sun comes 

in for a clearer view.

The sky blue sky:

entire, complete, 

not atomized, 

not digitized 

into countable parts

that each compete 

for your attention,

but whole again, 

as whole and real 

as air can ever be.
